The MORRIS PRODUCTS 18412 is a 16 oz aerosol cold galvanizing compound that delivers a high-performance zinc coating for corrosion and rust protection on ferrous metal surfaces. The formula contains 93 percent pure zinc that electrochemically bonds with base metal to form a galvanic cell, providing active cathodic protection. The coating dries in 8 hours and remains effective at continuous temperatures up to 130 degrees F and intermittent temperatures up to 150 degrees F. Electricians, electrical contractors, and general tradespeople use this product to restore or protect zinc coatings in the field without hot-dip equipment. It meets military specifications MIL-P-21035B, MIL-P-26915, and MIL-P-46105.
This aerosol galvanizing compound is suited for use on threads, exposed edges, fasteners, conduit, strapping, welds, fencing, railing, grates, electrical poles, breaker panel housings, rain spouts, signs, doors, trailers, waste containers, catwalks, and guard rails. It is used in both residential and commercial applications wherever cut, drilled, welded, or otherwise damaged galvanized surfaces need corrosion protection. The gray finish blends with standard galvanized coatings for a clean touch-up appearance.
Designed for application on ferrous metal surfaces requiring galvanic corrosion protection, including conduit, electrical enclosures, structural steel, fencing, railing, and welded assemblies where original galvanized coatings have been cut, drilled, or damaged.
Application is typically performed by electricians, ironworkers, or maintenance technicians as part of standard surface protection procedures. Surface should be clean, dry, and free of loose rust or scale before spraying. Flashpoint is -2 degrees F — keep away from open flames, sparks, and ignition sources during application and until fully dry. Use in well-ventilated areas and follow all applicable safety data sheet guidance for the product.
