The MOLDEX 6615 SparkPlugs Metal Detectable Corded Disposable Foam Earplugs deliver an independently tested Noise Reduction Rating of 33 dB, among the highest ratings available in disposable earplug formats. Each plug is molded from extra-soft, low-pressure foam that conforms to the ear canal for a secure fit that stays comfortable through extended shifts. An enclosed metal ball bearing inside each plug enables rapid metal detection during food processing, pharmaceutical, and other contamination-sensitive manufacturing inspections. The ball bearing and the attached cord run through separate internal channels, so the earplugs remain fully metal detectable even when the cord is removed.
These earplugs are designed for workers in high-noise industrial environments where both hearing protection and contamination control are operational requirements. Typical applications include food and beverage processing lines, pharmaceutical manufacturing floors, and any production setting where metal detection protocols are enforced. The corded format keeps pairs together and reduces loss risk during long shifts. The multi-colored SparkPlugs streaks and swirls provide high-visibility identification on the floor or in inspection cameras. All MOLDEX metal detectable disposable earplugs in this line are manufactured in the United States.
Designed as a disposable corded foam earplug for use in industrial and manufacturing environments requiring both OSHA-compliant hearing protection and metal detection safety protocols.
Roll the foam plug down to a tight cylinder before inserting, pull the outer ear up and back to straighten the canal, then hold the plug in place for several seconds while the foam expands to seat properly. Earplugs are single-use disposable items and should not be washed or reinserted after removal. Facilities with metal detection line requirements should verify detection sensitivity settings against the enclosed ball bearing specification per their internal HACCP or contamination control procedures. Dispose of used plugs per site waste management protocols.
