The MOLDEX 4400P100 AirWave disposable respirator is a P100-rated particulate respirator designed for medium and large face sizes. It filters 99.97% of oil-based and non-oil-based particulate matter, meeting the requirements for use in environments governed by OSHA substance-specific standards. The patented wave design increases the mask surface area to reduce breathing resistance, and the Dura-Mesh shell maintains the mask shape in heat and humidity. A Ventex exhalation valve accelerates hot air exhaust, keeping the wearer cooler during extended use. Licensed HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and industrial tradespeople working in environments with lead, cadmium, arsenic, MDA, or welding fumes will find this respirator appropriate for their exposure risk.
The 4400P100 is suited for residential and commercial trade environments where particulate hazards are present. Typical applications include welding, cutting, metal pouring, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and conventional or nuclear power generation. The FlexFit construction flexes with facial movement to maintain a consistent seal throughout a full work shift. The soft cloth SmartStrap is adjustable and allows the respirator to hang from the neck between tasks, reducing unnecessary disposal and extending usable life per mask. The foam face cushion distributes pressure evenly and eliminates hotspots during long wear periods.
Designed for use in particulate-hazardous environments where OSHA substance-specific standards apply, including operations involving lead, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA, as well as welding, cutting, metal pouring, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and conventional and nuclear power generation. Fits medium and large face sizes.
Donning and doffing of P100 respirators should follow employer respiratory protection programs in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134. The wearer must perform a user seal check each time the respirator is put on. Discard the respirator if the filtering element becomes damaged, breathing resistance increases significantly, or the mask becomes contaminated. No tools are required for fitting.
