The MODINE ptp300as0121sban is a propane-fired unit heater built for heavy-duty commercial and industrial heating applications. It delivers 300000 BTU/h of input capacity through a bent tubular aluminized steel heat exchanger, a design proven for durability in demanding environments. The unit runs on 115 volts, 60 Hz, single-phase power and is hard-wired for permanent installation. A single-stage gas control governs burner operation, and a permanently-lubricated motor drives the propeller fan for reliable airflow. Professional installation by a licensed heating contractor is required. Made in the USA.
This unit heater is designed for use in warehouses, garages, manufacturing facilities, agricultural buildings, and other large commercial or industrial spaces where direct-fired propane heat is appropriate. The standard power exhaust configuration simplifies venting through a small-diameter vent pipe, supporting either side-wall or roof exhaust routing. Field wiring connections and pre-punched knockouts for gas and electrical access allow for straightforward jobsite installation. Note that installations at elevations above 2000 feet require a high-altitude adjustment kit ordered separately.
Designed as an OEM-style propane unit heater for commercial and industrial forced-air heating systems requiring a hard-wired, single-stage, propeller-fan configuration.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC or gas contractor in accordance with applicable local codes and the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54 / ANSI Z223.1). Shut off the gas supply and disconnect electrical power before servicing the unit. At jobsite elevations above 2000 feet, a high-altitude adjustment kit is required and must be sourced separately before startup. Follow the manufacturer installation manual for venting clearances, gas piping sizing, and electrical requirements.
