The MM MANUFACTURING 100-4X5 is a 30-gauge G30 galvanized round snaplock duct pipe designed for air distribution in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Measuring 4 inches in diameter and 60 inches in length, this pipe provides a rigid, low-profile solution for connecting supply and return air runs. The snaplock seam allows for fast field assembly without requiring additional fasteners along the longitudinal joint. Galvanized steel construction resists corrosion over the long service life typical of in-wall or in-plenum duct installations. HVAC installers and sheet metal contractors use this pipe as a core component in forced-air duct systems.
This duct pipe is suited for new construction and retrofit applications in residential forced-air heating and cooling systems, as well as light commercial ventilation layouts. The 4-inch diameter is a common size for individual room supply branches, making it a frequent pick on residential trunk-and-branch jobs. It can also be used in exhaust and makeup-air runs where the diameter and gauge meet local code requirements. The product line is available in diameters from 3 inches to 24 inches and in lengths of 24 inches, 36 inches, and 60 inches, depending on diameter, allowing contractors to select the best fit for a given run.
Designed as an OEM-style component for use in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC duct systems requiring 4-inch round galvanized snaplock pipe. Compatible with standard 4-inch round duct fittings, collars, and connectors.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or sheet metal contractors in accordance with SMACNA standards and applicable local mechanical codes. Power down the air handling unit and close the system dampers before cutting into or modifying an existing duct run. Secure all joints with sheet metal screws and seal with listed duct mastic or UL 181-listed tape per local code requirements. Never use standard cloth duct tape as a primary sealant on metal duct joints.
