The MK MORSE 2721 is a high-performance bi-metal portable band saw blade engineered for tradespeople who cut a wide range of materials on the job. Built to the 1216 series specification, this blade runs at 12/16 TPI variable pitch with a modified raker tooth set, making it well suited for cutting materials 3/16 inches and thinner where conventional 18-tooth blades fall short. At 1/2 inch wide and 0.02 inches thick, it fits standard portable band saws and delivers a clean finish that holds up for welding applications. Licensed electricians, pipefitters, plumbers, and ironworkers will find it effective across the range of materials encountered in daily field work.
This blade is designed for portable band saw use in the field or shop. It is built to handle electrical conduit, strut, threaded rod, stainless steel pipe, tubing, structural pipe, machinable metals, PVC, and cast iron. The 12/16 TPI variable pitch design outperforms standard 18-tooth blades on thinner stock and reduces vibration during the cut, which matters on long cuts or overhead work. It is sold in bulk packs of 100, making it a practical stock item for service vehicles or supply rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement blade for standard 1/2 inch portable band saws. Verify blade length requirement before ordering, as portable band saw models vary in required blade length.
Blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified tradesperson following the portable band saw manufacturer's service instructions. Always power down and unplug the saw before changing blades. Confirm blade tracking and tension before resuming cuts. Do not exceed the maximum recommended blade speed of 285 FPM, as higher speeds reduce blade life and can cause premature failure.
