The MK MORSE 2684 is a 3-pack of bi-metal portable band saw blades designed to cover the full range of materials commonly cut with a portable band saw. The pack includes two blade pitches — the Morse 811 and the Morse 1216 — giving technicians and tradespeople a single purchase solution for both thick and thin stock. Each blade measures 35.375 inches in length and 0.5 inches in width. Bi-metal construction combines a high-speed steel tooth edge with a flexible alloy steel back, providing durability and resistance to blade fatigue during demanding cuts. These blades are manufactured in the United States.
The 2684 pack is suited for contractors, electricians, pipefitters, ironworkers, and general tradespeople who regularly cut a variety of materials in the field with a portable band saw. The Morse 811 blade is optimized for cutting materials 0.25 inches and thicker, outperforming standard 10/14 TPI blades in that range. The Morse 1216 blade is optimized for materials 0.1875 inches and thinner, outperforming standard 18-tooth blades in that application. Together they handle the typical range of conduit, pipe, bar stock, strut, and structural material encountered on job sites. Cut speed and blade life are rated up to 2 times greater than conventional portable band saw blades.
Designed for use with portable band saws accepting 35.375-inch blades that are 0.5 inches wide, which is the standard size used by most major portable band saw platforms in the trade.
Blade changes on portable band saws should be performed with the tool unplugged or the battery removed before handling the blade. Use cut-resistant gloves when handling band saw blades, as edges and teeth present a laceration hazard. Verify blade tension and blade guide alignment after installation per the tool manufacturer's service guidance before resuming cuts.
