The MITUTOYO 982-552 is a dual-mode tachometer capable of both contact and noncontact RPM measurement, making it a versatile tool for HVAC technicians, electricians, and mechanical service pros who need accurate rotational speed readings in the field. In contact mode, it measures from 6.0 to 25,000 RPM with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.006 plus or minus 0.5 percent of the reading. In noncontact mode, the range extends to 99,999 RPM with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.4 plus or minus 1 percent of the reading. The unit measures 4.55 inches long by 2.52 inches wide by 1.24 inches thick and runs on three AA batteries, which are included.
