The MITUTOYO 575-121 is an electronic drop indicator designed for precise dimensional measurement in metrology, machine shop, and quality control environments. Part of the Mitutoyo IDU Series Digimatic line, it delivers a measurement range of 0 to 25.4 mm with a resolution of 0.01 mm and an accuracy of 0.02 mm. The flat-back housing seats flush against gauge stands and magnetic bases, and the LCD display provides clear numeric readout without interpolation errors. Measuring force is rated at 1.80 N (180 gf), making it suitable for contact measurement on workpieces where surface marking must be minimized. A single SR44 battery is included. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrologists are the primary users.
The 575-121 is suited for surface runout checks, bore alignment, flatness verification, and comparative gauging on machine tools and inspection fixtures. The metric display mode is standard, and the unit is also available in inch/metric switchable configurations within the 543 Series family. The 8-inch stem diameter is compatible with standard indicator holders and dovetail clamps used on surface plates and dial indicator stands. This indicator fits into general-purpose inspection routines in both production and tool-room settings.
Part of the Mitutoyo IDU Series Digimatic Indicator lineup, Series 543. Designed for use with standard 8-inch diameter indicator stems and compatible indicator holders, dovetail clamps, and gauge stands commonly used in dimensional inspection applications.
Installation is performed by quality technicians and machinists using standard indicator holders or magnetic base assemblies. Secure the stem firmly in the clamp before zeroing the instrument to avoid false readings from stem slippage. Do not exceed the rated measuring force by forcing the spindle beyond its travel limit. Follow the manufacturer documentation and applicable ISO gauging practices when integrating this indicator into a calibrated inspection setup.
