The MITUTOYO 573-746-20 is an electronic inside diameter caliper designed for precision measurement in professional metrology, machining, and quality control applications. Built from hardened stainless steel throughout the body and jaws, it delivers a resolution of 0.0005 inches and an accuracy of 0.0015 inches across a measurement range of 1 to 6 inches (20 mm to 150 mm). The unit features a digital readout with data output capability, allowing integration with SPC software or data collection systems. It is rated IP67 for dust and liquid ingress protection, making it suitable for use in wet or contaminated shop environments. Calibration technicians, machinists, and quality inspectors are the primary users.
This caliper is configured specifically for inside diameter measurement, with a minimum inside diameter capacity of 1 inch (20 mm) and a maximum of 6 inches (150 mm). Jaw length is 40 mm, and the jaw style accommodates both inside and outside measurement. The sliding jaw adjustment type allows smooth, controlled movement during measurement. It is well suited for dimensional inspection on bored holes, pipe IDs, and machined bores in both shop-floor and lab environments. The unit ships with a protective carrying case and a SR44 silver oxide battery installed.
Designed as an OEM-specification electronic inside diameter caliper within the MITUTOYO 573 Series, suitable for use wherever a digital ID caliper with data output and IP67 protection is required.
This instrument is installed and operated by machinists, metrologists, or quality technicians — no special tooling or trade licensing is required. Before use, zero the caliper on a known reference standard and verify battery charge. Avoid exposing the data output port to fluids beyond the IP67 rating without proper connector protection. Store in the included case when not in service to protect jaw faces and the digital display.
