The MITUTOYO 573-734-20 is a digital electronic caliper built for precision measurement in demanding shop and field environments. It delivers a resolution of 0.0005 inches and an accuracy of 0.0010 inches across a 6-inch (150 mm) measurement range. The caliper body is constructed from hardened stainless steel, and the jaws are carbide-tipped for extended wear resistance. An integrated depth measurement rod and inside-diameter jaws expand its utility across multiple measurement tasks. A data output port allows direct connection to SPC data collection systems. It is rated IP67 for dust and liquid ingress protection, making it suitable for wet or coolant-exposed workbench conditions. The 573-734-20 handles four measurement applications in a single tool: outside diameter, inside diameter, depth, and step measurements. Installation Notes

Electronic calipers require no installation in the traditional trade sense but should be zeroed and verified against a calibration standard before production use. Keep the measuring faces clean and free of chips or burrs before closing the jaws to protect jaw geometry and accuracy. Replace the SR44 silver oxide battery when the low-battery indicator activates; do not allow a dead battery to remain installed for extended periods. Store the caliper in the included case when not in use to protect the hardened stainless surfaces and the depth rod.
