The MITUTOYO 551-341-20 is a 12-inch ABSOLUTE Digimatic electronic caliper designed for precision dimensional measurement in demanding shop and field environments. It delivers 0.0005-inch resolution and 0.0020-inch accuracy across a full 0 to 12-inch (0 to 300 mm) range. The caliper body and jaws are machined from stainless steel, and the IP67 rating means it withstands coolant splash, cutting fluid exposure, and wash-down conditions without damage to the encoder or display. A built-in data output port allows direct transmission of measurements to a SPC data collector or PC, eliminating manual transcription errors. Licensed metrology technicians, machinists, and quality inspectors are the primary users.

This caliper is suited for inside diameter and outside diameter measurements in manufacturing, quality control, and toolroom applications. The nib-style and knife-edge jaw configuration allows both standard OD and ID gripping as well as reach into slots and grooves. The minimum inside diameter measurement is 0.4000 inches (10 mm), and the maximum inside diameter capacity matches the full 12-inch range. A sliding jaw adjustment and included holster round out the package for daily production use. The unit ships with a silver oxide SR44 battery installed and is TUV Rheinland certified for measurement integrity.
