The MITUTOYO 539-214-30 is an AT113 series glass linear scale designed for high-precision position measurement in machine tool and metrology applications. It offers a maximum measuring range of 30.71 inches (750 mm) with a resolution of 0.000400 inches and an accuracy rating of 5+5L/1000 micrometers. The scale length is 30 inches (936 mm overall body length). Built with a glass scale element, it delivers stable, repeatable linear feedback suited for CNC machines, grinding equipment, lathes, and coordinate measuring setups. Installation is typically performed by machine tool technicians or metrology specialists.
The AT113 linear scale is used in precision machine tool retrofits and OEM equipment builds where high-resolution position feedback is required. It is suited for both horizontal and vertical axis mounting in light industrial and metrology environments. The unit carries an IP53 ingress protection rating, making it appropriate for environments with limited exposure to dust and coolant splash. Operating temperature range is 0 to 45 degrees C, with a storage range of -20 to 70 degrees C. A 3-meter (9.84 inches) cable is included for readhead-to-display connections.
Designed for use with compatible MITUTOYO AT113 series readheads and display units. Consult the AT113 series interface documentation to confirm signal compatibility with the target DRO or CNC controller before installation.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified machine tool technician or metrology technician familiar with linear encoder mounting procedures. Power down all machine axes and disconnect the control system before mounting the scale or routing cables. The scale and readhead must be aligned within the manufacturer-specified gap tolerance to ensure accurate signal output. Avoid bending the cable at sharp angles and secure the cable along the machine frame to prevent interference with moving components.
