The MITUTOYO 527-103 is a vernier depth gage designed for precise depth measurement in machining, fabrication, and inspection applications. It features a measurement range of 0 to 300mm, a 410mm rule length, and a 4-inch (100mm) base length. Graduation is 0.02mm with accuracy to 0.04mm, making it suitable for close-tolerance work. The rule and base are constructed from stainless steel with a satin chrome coating that resists corrosion and reduces glare during use. This instrument is used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, quality control technicians, and precision fabricators who require reliable, repeatable depth readings.
The 527-103 is suited for measuring slot depths, step heights, shoulder depths, and similar features on machined parts. It performs in both shop-floor and inspection-room environments. The 4-inch base provides stable contact across a workpiece opening, and the 410mm rule accommodates a wide range of measurement depths in a single setup. No hook is included with this gage.
Designed as an OEM-style precision measurement instrument for use in standard depth-gaging applications on machined components and fabricated assemblies.
This instrument is used by metrology technicians and precision machinists and requires no installation. Before use, zero the gage on a clean, flat reference surface and verify the base is free of debris that could affect seating. Handle the blade and base with care to avoid nicks or burrs that would compromise measurement accuracy. Store in the provided case when not in use to protect the scale and base surfaces.
