It delivers a maximum measurement range of 0.008 inches per revolution with a dial graduation and accuracy of 0.0001 inches, making it well suited for surface runout checks, part alignment, and fixture verification. The indicator features a jeweled bearing for smooth, consistent needle movement and is built with a no-clutch structure for automatic reversal. The white dial face is 40 millimeters in diameter and is covered by a glare-free, scratch-resistant, high-impact crystal with an O-ring seal for dust and oil protection.
This dial test indicator is used in tool rooms, machine shops, and quality control environments where tight tolerances must be confirmed quickly and reliably. The horizontal style is commonly mounted on magnetic bases, articulating arms, or surface plate setups for part runout inspection, spindle alignment, and comparative gaging.
