The MITUTOYO 513-443-16T is a 9-piece dial test indicator kit built for precision measurement work in machining, tooling, and metrology applications. The horizontal-style indicator features a 0.016 inch measuring range with 0.0001 inch dial graduations and a 0-5-0 dial reading format, delivering 0.0002 inch accuracy. The 1.5748 inch diameter black dial face uses a glare-free, scratch-resistant crystal. A no-clutch structure allows reversible measuring direction without mechanical adjustments, and an O-ring seal protects internal components from contamination. This kit is suited for machine tool setup, fixture alignment, and surface inspection work performed by machinists and metrology technicians.
The 513-443-16T is designed for horizontal indicator applications where fine surface deviation, runout, or positional tolerance must be verified. The kit includes multiple contact points with ball diameters of 0.079 inches and 0.118 inches, allowing the technician to select the appropriate tip geometry for the workpiece. The 0.59 inch contact point length and adjustable contact point design provide setup flexibility across a range of part geometries. The universal holder, swivel clamp, holding bar, and knurled clamp ring included in the kit support fast mounting on standard magnetic bases and indicator stands.
Designed for use with standard dial indicator holders, magnetic bases, and universal swivel clamp systems common to machine tool and metrology setups. Part of the Mitutoyo Series 513 dial test indicator line.
Installation is performed by machinists and quality technicians using standard indicator mounting hardware. Secure the indicator in the swivel clamp or universal holder before taking measurements and verify the contact point is seated fully before zeroing the dial. Avoid overtravel beyond the rated measuring range to prevent damage to the mechanism. No electrical shutoff is required; handle the instrument carefully to preserve calibration integrity.
