The MITUTOYO 500-737-20 is a professional-grade electronic digital caliper built for accurate linear measurement in demanding shop and field environments. It covers a measurement range of 0 to 6 inches (150 mm) with a resolution of 0.0005 inches and an accuracy of 0.0010 inches. The caliper body and jaws are constructed from hardened stainless steel, with carbide-tipped knife-edge jaws rated for inside, outside, depth, and step measurements. Rated IP67, the 500-737-20 is fully dust-tight and capable of withstanding temporary immersion, making it suitable for use in coolant-heavy machining environments. It is part of the MITUTOYO 500 ABSOLUTE Coolant-Proof series and is TUV Rheinland Certified.
This caliper is used across precision measurement applications in machine shops, toolrooms, manufacturing floors, and quality control stations. It handles outside diameter, inside diameter, depth rod, and step measurements in a single instrument. Knife-edge jaws with a length of 1.5748 inches allow access to tight features and small bores. The ABSOLUTE encoder retains the origin position even after power-off, eliminating the need to reset zero at startup. Data output capability allows direct connection to statistical process control (SPC) systems or compatible data loggers for automated measurement recording.

Installation of a replacement SR44 battery should be performed with the caliper powered off; refer to the included documentation for battery compartment access. Handle carbide-tipped jaws with care to avoid chipping against hard surfaces. Before use in SPC-connected applications, verify cable compatibility with the data output port. Calibration is not included with this unit — calibrated variants should be sourced separately if traceable calibration documentation is required.
