The caliper uses an electrostatic capacitance linear encoder and an absolute positioning system, eliminating the need to return to zero after power-off. The stainless steel jaws and body provide durability in light industrial use. A thumb wheel drive allows precise jaw control. The LCD display shows inch or metric readings and switches between the two modes with a single function button.
