The MITUTOYO 323-351-30 is an electronic disc micrometer designed for precision measurement of grooves, keyways, thin-walled parts, and recessed features that standard anvil micrometers cannot reach. It covers a measurement range of 1 to 2 inches and delivers a resolution of 0.00005 inch with an accuracy of 0.0002 inch. The ratchet stop thimble ensures consistent measuring force on every reading, reducing operator-to-operator variation. The unit carries an IP65 water resistance rating, making it suitable for use in wet or coolant-present shop environments. Machinist technicians, tool-and-die makers, and precision metrology professionals are the primary users of this instrument.
This micrometer is suited for dimensional inspection tasks where a conventional flat anvil cannot seat properly against the workpiece. The 20 mm disc diameter and 0.40 mm disc edge thickness allow the anvil face to reach into narrow slots, grooves, and undercuts. It is appropriate for both production-floor quality control and tool room inspection work. The digital readout with data output capability supports integration into SPC data collection systems. The satin chrome finish provides corrosion resistance in typical shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style electronic disc micrometer for precision measurement applications requiring a thin disc anvil in the 1 to 2 inch range.
Calibration and zeroing should be performed before each measurement session per standard metrology practice. Keep the measuring faces clean and free of chips, coolant residue, or grit before use to avoid measurement error and anvil wear. The SR44 battery should be replaced when the low-battery indicator activates; do not operate the unit with a depleted battery, as this can cause erratic readings. Store the micrometer in the included plastic case when not in use to protect the disc anvil edge.
