The MITUTOYO 192-633-10 is a large-range electronic height gage designed for precision layout and inspection work on surface plates. It measures up to 40 inches (1000 mm) with an accuracy of 0.003 inches (0.070 mm) and offers switchable resolution of 0.0005 inches or 0.0002 inches to suit varying inspection requirements. The large LCD displays readings clearly, and a built-in SPC data output port allows direct transmission of measurement data to a computer or statistical process control system. A coarse and fine feeding switch provides controlled stylus positioning, making it well suited for repetitive measurement tasks in a machine shop or quality control environment.
This height gage is intended for dimensional inspection and layout applications in manufacturing and metrology settings. It is used on granite or cast iron surface plates for part layout, step measurement, and feature location tasks. The instrument suits quality technicians, toolmakers, and machinists working in both production and inspection environments. The inclined slider handle and large function buttons reduce operator fatigue during extended use sessions. The unit ships with a scriber and battery installed, allowing immediate deployment on the shop floor.
Designed as a standalone precision measuring instrument for use on standard surface plates in inspection and layout applications. Consult MITUTOYO documentation for compatible SPC data collection cables and accessories.
Setup and use should be performed by a qualified metrology technician or machinist familiar with surface plate inspection practices. Ensure the surface plate is clean and level before placing the height gage base. The SR44 battery must be installed and the unit zeroed to the surface plate before taking measurements. Do not use the instrument on powered machinery or in environments with excessive vibration, as this will affect measurement accuracy.
