The MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC TRANE msz-fx24nl-u1 is a 24,000 BTU/h hyper heat wall-mounted indoor unit designed for single-zone mini split systems operating on R-454B refrigerant. Built for residential and light commercial applications, this unit delivers both heating and cooling through an inverter-driven mini split configuration. The msz-fx24nl-u1 features a built-in 3D i-see Sensor that scans the room to map thermal profiles and adjust temperature and airflow automatically. A licensed HVAC technician handles installation as part of a matched outdoor unit pairing. The slim wall-mounted form factor keeps the unit unobtrusive while providing full zone comfort control.
This unit is suited for single-zone residential or light commercial spaces where independent temperature control is required. Typical install scenarios include bedrooms, living areas, server rooms, additions, and commercial offices. The msz-fx24nl-u1 is part of the Hyper Heat product line, engineered to maintain heating capacity at low outdoor ambient temperatures. It pairs with a compatible R-454B outdoor condensing unit as a matched system. The included back-lit remote controller provides immediate out-of-box control, while optional wired and wireless controllers and the Comfort app allow expanded management.
Designed for use in single-zone mini split systems using R-454B refrigerant; must be paired with a compatible Hyper Heat outdoor condensing unit matched to this indoor wall-mount unit.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA refrigerant handling certification, as R-454B is a regulated refrigerant. Power to the system must be disconnected at the breaker before any wiring work is performed on the indoor unit. Low-voltage control wiring between the indoor and outdoor units must follow the manufacturer wiring diagram and applicable NEC requirements. Do not operate the unit without confirming the matched outdoor unit is properly commissioned and refrigerant lines are leak-tested and evacuated.
