The MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC pva-aa24nl is a 24,000 BTU/h multi-position ducted indoor air handler designed for single-zone ductwork systems using R454B refrigerant. It pairs with one compatible outdoor unit to condition a single large zone in residential or light commercial applications. The unit features a totally enclosed ECM motor for high efficiency and ships with 1-inch, R-4.2 fiberglass-free insulation to reduce condensation and improve thermal performance. A blow-through design simplifies coil cleaning once the blower assembly is removed. Licensed HVAC technicians familiar with ductless and ducted mini-split systems are the primary installers for this equipment.
The pva-aa24nl is suited for light commercial environments including small offices, restaurants, and retail spaces, as well as residential large-zone applications. Multi-position installation supports horizontal left, horizontal right, vertical up, and vertical down orientations. For downflow configurations, Mitsubishi Electric recommends the CMA-1 condensate management accessory to prevent water blow-off. Selectable external static pressure settings of 0.30, 0.50, and 0.80 in.WG are available, each with three fan speeds, giving installers flexibility when balancing duct systems.
Designed as a single-zone ducted indoor air handler that connects to one compatible outdoor unit. Suitable for light commercial applications such as small offices, restaurants, and retail spaces in addition to large residential zones. Consult Mitsubishi Electric product documentation to confirm outdoor unit pairing prior to installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with R454B refrigerant handling and local mechanical codes. Disconnect and lock out all power to the system before beginning any work on the air handler or refrigerant circuit. For downflow installations, the CMA-1 condensate management accessory is recommended to prevent water blow-off under certain operating conditions. Verify external static pressure settings match the duct system design before commissioning the unit.
