The MITSUBISHI 663592 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in steel, stainless steel, hardened steel, superalloys, titanium, and other hard or demanding workpiece materials. Part of the MVE Series, it features a 140-degree drill point angle with X-Thinning geometry that reduces thrust and improves centering at entry. The TiAlN coating extends tool life in high-heat applications. At 2.4685 inches overall length with a 0.8937-inch flute length and a 0.1614-inch cutting diameter, this bit delivers the reach needed for cross hole, stack, and standard drilling operations in tight or deep-entry conditions.
This drill bit is intended for use by machinists and metalworking professionals in production and maintenance environments. Its cylindrical shank measures 0.2362 inches in diameter and seats directly into standard collet chucks or drill holders. The right-hand helical flute design and parallel web configuration make it well suited for cross hole drilling, stack drilling, and general-purpose drilling in steel and iron alloys. The 2xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 0.3504-inch maximum drilling depth per the manufacturer specification support controlled, repeatable results in both manual and CNC drilling setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual setups accepting a 0.2362-inch cylindrical shank. Rated for workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, hardened steel, tempered steel, structural steel, cast iron, carbon steel, high strength bronze, brass, copper, nickel, nickel alloy, iron, and superalloys and titanium per the manufacturer specification.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with carbide tooling and the machine tool being used. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or seating the bit. Confirm shank seating depth and collet torque per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines before starting a cut. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in conditions with interrupted cuts or excessive runout without confirming suitability first.
