Product Description

The MITSUBISHI 663234 is a carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Measuring 19/64 inch (0.2969 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree split point and X-Thinning geometry, this bit delivers precise entry and reduced thrust in hard and abrasive materials. The TiAlN coating extends tool life under high heat and pressure. With a 5.645-inch overall length and a 3.52-inch helical flute, the 663234 is built for deep-hole work where standard-length bits fall short. It is part of the Mitsubishi MVS series and is sold individually.

This drill bit is suited for cross-hole drilling, stack drilling, and through-drilling operations in production machining, maintenance shops, and fabrication environments. The coolant-through design supports high-speed drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, carbon steel, tempered steel, hardened steel, high-strength bronze, structural steel, superalloys, and titanium. Right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral make it compatible with standard CNC and manual drill press setups. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio gives it the reach needed for deeper bores without sacrificing chip evacuation.

Key Features

  • Carbide construction with TiAlN coating for extended tool life in high-temperature cuts
  • 140-degree drill point angle with X-Thinning for reduced thrust and clean entry
  • Coolant-through design supports high-speed and deep-hole drilling
  • 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio with 3.52-inch helical flute for deep-bore reach
  • Cylindrical shank at 0.315 inches diameter fits standard collets and chucks
  • Rated for cross-hole, stack, and standard drilling in a wide range of workpiece materials

Compatibility

Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machine tool setups accepting a cylindrical shank. Suitable for workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass, bronze, copper, cast iron, carbon steel, tempered steel, hardened steel, high-strength bronze, and structural steel.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die tradespeople. Ensure the machine spindle and collet or chuck are clean and within tolerance before seating the cylindrical shank. Always engage coolant flow before beginning the cut when using the through-coolant feature. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 2.43 inches without retracting to clear chips.
