The MITSUBISHI 663226 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. It carries a TiAlN coating to extend tool life under heat and abrasion, making it well suited for dry or minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL) operations. The bit measures 0.2812 inches (9/32 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 5.642 inches and a flute length of 3.319 inches. The 140-degree split point with X-thinning geometry reduces entry force and improves hole entry accuracy. Coolant-through capability allows internal delivery of cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone. This is a tool installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual drill press environments.
The 663226 belongs to the MVS Series and is built for cross hole drilling, stack drilling, and standard through-hole drilling operations. Its 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and maximum drilling depth of 2.301 inches make it appropriate for medium-to-deep hole applications in production environments. The right-hand helical flute with parallel web and X-thinned web configuration supports chip evacuation in interrupted cuts and multi-layer stack setups. The cylindrical shank diameter of 0.315 inches fits standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual equipment.
