The MITSUBISHI 617570 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding ferrous and exotic alloy applications. It features a 4 mm cutting diameter with a 0.30 mm corner radius, a 4-flute configuration, and an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) PVD coating that provides excellent thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. The 11.00 mm length of cut and 45.00 mm overall length make it suitable for moderate-depth profiling and finishing passes. Variable index and variable helix geometry reduce harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts, and the single-end straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits precision toolholders without modification. This tool is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians working on CNC milling centers.
This end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing operations on stainless steel, titanium alloy, heat-resistant alloys, steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, copper alloy, and non-ferrous metals. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The 6.00 mm shank diameter with h6 tolerance fits collets and toolholders designed for that bore size. It is a single-end tool intended for direct chuck or collet mounting on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use with straight-bore collets and toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter. Suitable for CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers running stainless steel, titanium alloy, heat-resistant alloy, steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, copper alloy, and non-ferrous metal workpieces.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists on CNC milling equipment. Secure the shank fully within the collet or toolholder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening to prevent pullout under load. Verify spindle and toolholder runout meets machine specifications before engaging the workpiece. This tool is not center-cutting and should not be plunged axially into solid material.
