The MITSUBISHI 461456 is a CCGT-style indexable carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual lathe applications. Featuring an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a 0.40 mm (1/64 inch) corner radius, this insert is optimized for finishing and medium machining operations. The HTI10 grade carbide substrate is uncoated (bright finish), delivering high wear resistance with moderate toughness. It carries a neutral hand orientation and provides two usable cutting edges per insert. Installed by machinists and toolroom professionals, this insert seats into compatible CCGT toolholders used in production and job-shop turning.

This insert is suited for turning cast iron (ISO material group K) and aluminum or non-ferrous materials (ISO material group N), where high wear resistance is the primary requirement.
