The MITSUBISHI 218579 is a solid carbide square end mill from the M-Star Endmill MS2JS series, designed for precision material removal in demanding machining environments. With a 1.00 mm (0.0394 inches) mill diameter and a 2-flute helical configuration, it delivers clean cutting action in tight geometries. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, making it well-suited for dry or semi-dry machining in hard and abrasive materials. The shank diameter is 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches) and overall length is 40.00 mm (1.5748 inches). This is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with a 30-degree helix angle and medium length classification.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and high-precision milling operations. It is optimized for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. Secondary applications include hardened materials, stainless steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temp alloys. The compact 1.00 mm cutting diameter makes it especially useful for fine-feature milling, micro-slot cutting, and detailed contouring work where tool clearance is limited.
Designed for use in CNC milling machines and machining centers that accept a 4.00 mm straight shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, hardened materials, and aluminum and non-ferrous metals as specified by the manufacturer.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator using a collet or tool holder rated for the 4.00 mm shank diameter. Verify runout and tool holding torque per the machine and toolholder manufacturer specifications before use. Note that this end mill is not centercutting and is not suitable for plunge entry cuts. Confirm workpiece material compatibility and select appropriate speeds and feeds before operation.
