The MITSUBISHI 10631515 is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for very small hole drilling in demanding materials. It features a 141-degree drill point angle with X-thinning geometry, which reduces thrust force and improves centering accuracy at entry. The bit carries a TiAlN coating for heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and high-strength workpiece materials. At 0.0787 inches (2.00 mm) in diameter with a spiral flute design and right-hand cut, this drill is sized for precision work where standard tooling is too large. It ships individually and is sold as a single unit.
This drill bit is suited for precision machining operations requiring very small diameter holes in steel, stainless steel, hardened steel, cast iron, carbon steel, iron alloys, superalloys, titanium and titanium alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys, brass, bronze alloys, and copper. It is most commonly used in CNC machining centers and precision drill press applications where tight tolerances and controlled feed rates are critical. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet and chuck toolholding systems. The DVAS series is designed for high-accuracy micro-hole production in production and job shop environments.
Designed for use in standard collet and drill chuck toolholding systems accepting a 0.1575 inch (4.00 mm) straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for workpiece materials coded P, M, K, N, and S per ISO material classification, covering steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, cast iron, aluminum, brass, bronze, and copper.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Ensure the spindle, collet, and toolholder are clean and properly torqued before seating the shank. Micro drills are sensitive to runout — verify toolholder TIR before drilling. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 0.1732 inches (4.40 mm) per pass without retracting to clear chips.
