The MITSUBISHI 10579466 is a solid carbide square end mill from the M-Plus Endmill MP3MC series, engineered for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Featuring a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter and three helical flutes, this single-end tool is coated with AlTiCrN for extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The 30-degree right-hand helix and center-cutting geometry allow for both plunge and contour cuts. With a medium-length profile and an overall length of 1.5000 inches, it is sized for precision work in tight clearance conditions on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The AlTiCrN coating provides thermal stability and oxidation resistance, making it well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions on difficult-to-machine workpiece materials. It is a direct fit for shops running ferrous and exotic alloy components in aerospace, medical, die and mold, and general precision machining applications where a small-diameter, high-hardness carbide tool is required. The straight shank with h6 tolerance ensures accurate tool holding in standard collet chucks and end mill holders.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, especially at this diameter, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and can cause breakage.
