The MITSUBISHI 10555873 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance and high-precision drilling in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. Measuring 0.2953 inches (7.50 mm) in diameter with a 145-degree drill point angle and X-thinning point geometry, this bit delivers clean entry and reduced thrust force in tough materials. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life under high cutting speeds. Coolant-through construction allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, making it well suited for deep-hole and stack drilling operations. A licensed machinist or tool-and-die technician is the typical end user for this type of cutting tool.
This drill bit is built for cross hole drilling, through drilling, and stack drilling applications across a broad range of workpiece materials. Primary target material is steel, with secondary compatibility across stainless steel, superalloys and titanium, structural steel, tempered steel, hardened steel, iron, cast iron, carbon steel, high strength bronze, bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, and aluminum alloy. It fits production machining environments where consistent hole geometry and tight tolerances are required. The MVS series designation indicates a parallel web configuration with right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with standard cylindrical-shank toolholders or collet chucks accepting an 8.00 mm (0.315 inch) shank. Suitable for cross hole, through hole, and stack drilling operations in the workpiece materials listed in the supplier specifications above. ISO specification designation confirms dimensional standards compliance.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with carbide tooling setup and CNC or manual drill press operation. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are clean and free of runout before seating the shank, as carbide is sensitive to lateral loading. Confirm coolant-through supply lines are active before initiating the cut when using the internal coolant feature. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes when handling carbide cutting tools.
