The MITSUBISHI 10543412 is a solid carbide extra-length drill bit engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications. It carries a TiAlN coating, a 140-degree split point with X-thinning geometry, and a helical two-flute design that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced thrust force on entry. The overall length measures 8.544 inches, with a 5.984-inch flute length and a maximum drilling depth of 4.449 inches. Coolant-through construction supports internal coolant delivery to maintain cutting temperatures at depth. Licensed machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators will find this bit suited for high-precision, high-performance drilling cycles in production environments.
This drill bit is optimized for deep hole drilling, cross-hole drilling, stack drilling, and general-purpose drilling operations. It belongs to the MVS series, which is purpose-built for high-penetration-rate work in steel and ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC and manual spindle setups. It carries a 10xD flute-by-diameter ratio, making it particularly effective where standard-length bits cannot reach required depth without repositioning.
Rated for use in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, structural steel, tempered steel, cast iron, hardened steel, carbon steel, bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, and aluminum alloy. ISO specification designation. Compatible with CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with coolant-through spindle capability. Material application codes P, M, K, and N per ISO workpiece classification.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Secure the cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or toolholder to the full shank engagement length before beginning a cycle. Verify coolant-through pressure and flow rate at the spindle before drilling to ensure adequate chip flushing in deep-hole operations. Inspect the cutting edges and TiAlN coating for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit when point geometry is compromised.
