The MITEE-BITE 38750 is a stainless steel internal-diameter (ID) expansion clamp designed to hold workpieces by expanding outward against a bore wall or bushing ID. It generates 1,900 lb of holding force through a single M6 x 1.0 center screw, making it suitable for precision fixturing, bore location, and bushing installation applications. The expansion range spans 0.4724 inches minimum to 0.5256 inches maximum diameter, allowing it to grip consistently within that bore tolerance band. The clamp is manufactured from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and dimensional stability in demanding shop environments. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this component in CNC and manual machining setups.
The 38750 is used in precision machining and workholding applications where a bore or bushing ID must serve as the clamping surface. Typical scenarios include fixture plates, modular tooling systems, and production jigs where repeatable, centered clamping is required. The single mount hole configuration accepts a 0.5000-inch diameter mounting fastener. This clamp is appropriate for both light-production and prototype fixturing environments where stainless steel construction is preferred for cleanroom, wet, or corrosive conditions.
Designed for use in precision workholding and fixturing systems requiring internal-diameter expansion clamping within a bore range of 0.4724 inches to 0.5256 inches with a 0.5000-inch mount hole diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or fixture engineers familiar with precision workholding hardware. Before installation, ensure the bore and mounting surfaces are clean, deburred, and within the specified diameter tolerance. Tighten the M6 x 1.0 center screw using the appropriate hex driver to expand the clamp body against the bore wall. Do not exceed the design expansion range, as over-driving the center screw can damage the clamp body or the workpiece bore.
