The MITEE-BITE 10105 is a 5C collet stop designed to set and repeat workpiece depth positioning inside a 5C collet chuck. The stop seats inside the collet bore and provides a repeatable backstop surface, allowing machinists to load parts to a consistent axial position without re-measuring between cycles. At 0.35 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight tooling accessory suited for manual and CNC turning setups that use the 5C collet system. Installation and removal require no special tooling, making it a practical addition to any production or job-shop environment.
The 10105 is intended for use in machining operations where 5C collets are the workholding standard. Typical applications include screw machine work, manual lathes, CNC turning centers, and collet-chuck fixtures on milling machines. It is most commonly used by machinists running repeat-production parts where consistent part protrusion or depth is critical to downstream operations such as facing, turning to length, or threading.
Designed as a standard replacement or add-on collet stop for workholding setups using 5C collets on lathes, turning centers, and collet-chuck fixtures.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling setup technician. Before installing or removing the collet stop, ensure the machine spindle is fully de-energized and at a complete stop. Insert the stop into the 5C collet bore to the desired depth and secure per the stop design before clamping the collet. Verify repeatable part seating with a test piece before running production.
