The MISSION RUBBER MR56 1010 is a 10-inch Calder-style shielded coupling designed to join plastic or cast iron pipe to plastic or cast iron pipe in no-hub drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. This coupling uses a stainless steel shield and clamp band assembly to compress a rubber gasket against both pipe ends, creating a secure, leak-resistant joint without the need for solvent cement or lead-and-oakum packing. Licensed plumbers and journeymen installers use this type of coupling on new construction and repair work where a mechanical no-hub connection is required at the 10-inch diameter range.
