The MISSION RUBBER 0701 011 is a Band-Seal end cap designed to permanently close the open end of a pipe without threading or solvent welding. It uses a stainless steel band and bolt to compress a rubber gasket against the pipe exterior, creating a pressure-rated, leak-resistant seal. The cap is compatible with cast iron, plastic, and steel pipe, making it a versatile solution for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting during rough-in work, pressure testing, and system abandonment. It is domestically manufactured.
