The Minwax 13333 is a water-based polycrylic protective finish designed to seal and protect bare wood, painted surfaces, and wood stains. It dries to a hard, crystal-clear film with a satin sheen that resists yellowing over time. The formula contains very little odor compared to solvent-based finishes and cleans up with water, making it practical for interior finish work. This gallon-size container covers large surface areas and is suited for professional finishers, cabinetmakers, trim carpenters, and experienced DIYers working on interior wood projects.
This finish is formulated for interior use on furniture, cabinets, trim, doors, and millwork. Its exceptional clarity makes it especially well-suited for application over light-colored woods and Minwax water-based wood stains, where an amber tint from an oil-based finish would be undesirable. The fast-drying formula allows multiple coats to be applied in a single workday, reducing project turnaround time on finish carpentry and furniture refinishing work.
Designed for use over bare interior wood, light-colored woods, and Minwax water-based wood stains as a clear protective topcoat.
Applied by finish carpenters, cabinetmakers, and professional painters working on interior wood surfaces. Surface should be clean, dry, and free of dust, wax, or grease before application. Stir thoroughly before use and between coats; do not shake, as this introduces bubbles into the finish. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying, even though odor is minimal.
