The MINERALLAC 602 is a steel set screw beam clamp designed for suspending conduit, bridle rings, and threaded rod from structural steel beams. It accepts flanges up to 3/4 inches wide and features a 3/8 inch-16 tapped hole on the bottom for rod or hanger attachment. The clamp is fabricated from 11-gauge steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance. A case-hardened set screw, tapped at an angle, locks firmly onto the beam flange with a rated torque of 60 in-lbf and supports a maximum load of 200 pounds. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting in commercial and industrial conduit support applications.
The MINERALLAC 602 is suited for use in commercial and industrial electrical installations where conduit runs, bridle rings, or threaded rod hangers must be suspended from I-beams, H-beams, or similar structural steel members. It accommodates conduit hangers in the size range 0 through 5. The zinc-plated steel construction makes it appropriate for dry and moderately exposed indoor environments. This clamp installs at the bottom flange of a structural beam, allowing quick positioning and secure locking without welding or drilling into the beam.
Designed for use with conduit hangers sizes 0 through 5, bridle rings, and threaded rod applications on structural steel beams with flanges up to 3/4 inches wide.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician following applicable NEC requirements for conduit support and hanger spacing. De-energize any nearby circuits before working in the area. Position the clamp on the beam flange, then tighten the set screw to the rated torque using the appropriate hex key — do not exceed the 60 in-lbf torque rating. Verify the rod or hanger connection at the tapped hole is fully threaded and secure before loading.
