The MILWAUKEE VALVE hp3lcs4213 030 is a lug-style butterfly valve from the HP Series, designed for demanding industrial flow-control applications where higher pressure ratings are required. The body is carbon steel, the disc is 316 stainless steel, and the stem is 17-4PH stainless steel with an 18-8 stainless steel taper pin. Softgoods are PTFE, making this valve suitable for a wide range of process media. Actuation is handled by an integral gear actuator for smooth, controlled quarter-turn operation. Licensed pipefitters and mechanical contractors install this valve in commercial and industrial piping systems where ANSI flanged connections and a 300 lb pressure class are required.
This valve fits 3-inch flanged pipeline installations rated to 300 lb pressure class. The lug-style body allows the valve to be installed as a line valve or an end-of-line dead-end service valve without requiring a downstream flange. Typical applications include HVAC mechanical rooms, process piping, water and hydronic systems, and light industrial plant services. The flanged end style mates directly to ANSI-standard mating flanges, making retrofits and replacements straightforward for experienced pipe crews.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation butterfly valve for 3-inch ANSI flanged piping systems rated to 300 lb pressure class.
Installation must be performed by a licensed pipefitter or qualified mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable ASME and local piping codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removal of any existing valve or fitting. Inspect mating flange faces and gaskets for damage before bolting up; torque flange bolts evenly in a cross pattern per the applicable ASME B16 bolt-torque schedule for the flange class. Verify gear actuator travel stops are set correctly before returning the line to service.
