The MILWAUKEE TOOL 48-73-1104 is a Class E, front brim construction hard hat made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It provides electrical insulation protection up to Class E standards and uses a 4-point adjustable quick-release suspension system for a secure, comfortable fit. Designed for general construction environments, this hard hat meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 Type 1 requirements. The non-vented, non-slotted shell maintains a clean profile while the universal sizing accommodates head sizes from 6-1/2 to 8. At approximately 1 pound, it provides durable head protection without adding excessive fatigue over a full shift.
This hard hat is intended for use on commercial and residential construction job sites where electrical hazard and impact protection are required. The front brim style provides overhead impact shielding and limited sun and weather protection at the front of the brim. It is suited for installation by general contractors, electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other trades working in environments that mandate Class E head protection per OSHA and ANSI standards. The blue HDPE shell allows for easy color-coding on multi-trade job sites.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-issue hard hat compatible with standard 4-point suspension accessories and replacement suspension components typical of front brim Type 1 Class E hard hat systems.
Fitting and adjustment should be performed before entering any job site hazard area. Power down or de-energize nearby electrical equipment whenever working in proximity to live conductors, consistent with NFPA 70E guidelines. Inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, dents, or UV degradation before each use and replace if damage is found. Do not modify, drill, or paint the shell, as alterations may compromise the structural and electrical integrity of the hard hat.
