The Milwaukee Tool 48-40-0820 is an 8-1/4 inch tungsten carbide tipped circular saw blade designed for wet and dry cutting applications in wood-based materials. With 24 alternate top bevel (ATB) teeth and an 18-degree hook angle, this blade delivers fast, aggressive framing-style cuts through plywood, paneling, melamine, and dimensional lumber. The 5/8 inch round arbor fits a wide range of circular saws, and the kerf width of 5/64 inch (0.083 inch) minimizes material waste. A licensed carpenter, framing contractor, or finish carpenter will typically install and operate this blade in standard jobsite conditions.
This blade is suited for residential and light commercial framing, rough carpentry, and sheet goods processing. Its ATB tooth geometry reduces tearout on plywood and melamine face surfaces, making it a practical choice when cutting cabinet-grade sheet stock or paneling alongside structural lumber. At a maximum rated speed of 7000 RPM, it is compatible with most 8-1/4 inch corded and cordless circular saws equipped with a standard 5/8 inch arbor. The framing-class cutting action prioritizes stock removal rate over finish quality, so it is best used where speed matters more than edge refinement.
Designed for use on melamine, plywood, paneling, and wood with circular saws that accept an 8-1/4 inch blade and a 5/8 inch round arbor.
Blade installation and changes must be performed by a qualified user with the saw unplugged or the battery pack removed. Confirm the saw arbor size matches the 5/8 inch bore before mounting and ensure the blade does not exceed the saw's rated RPM. Follow all applicable OSHA and tool-manufacturer guarding requirements when operating circular saws on the jobsite. Inspect the blade for cracking, missing carbide, or warping before each use and replace if any damage is found.
