The MILWAUKEE ELEC TOOL 2719-21 is a one-handed reciprocating saw kit built around the M18 FUEL HACKZALL platform. It integrates a POWERSTATE brushless motor with a 7/8-inch stroke length, delivering cutting speeds up to 50% faster than competing one-handed reciprocating saws. The compact, lightweight body is engineered for control in confined spaces and overhead applications. A dual gear counterbalance mechanism reduces vibration by up to 4x compared to traditional reciprocating saws, which eases cut-starts in metal and reduces operator fatigue over extended use. REDLINK PLUS intelligence monitors the system to guard against overload, overheating, and over-discharge conditions.
This kit is suited for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical trades where one-handed cutting access is required. It is designed for residential and light commercial service work where tight clearances, overhead cuts, or single-hand operation are routine. The included M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 battery pack supports extended run time per charge and long-term pack durability. Rubber seals and weep holes provide protection against water and debris ingress, making it practical for field and job-site conditions. The kit ships complete with an M18 and M12 charger and a contractor bag for tool storage and transport.
The 2719-21 operates on the M18 18-volt battery platform and is compatible with M18 REDLITHIUM battery packs. The included charger supports both M18 and M12 battery systems.
Installation and blade changes should be performed with the battery pack removed to prevent accidental startup. Blade selection should match the material being cut — wood, metal, or demolition blades are not interchangeable without considering tooth count and set. Electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians should follow applicable trade codes and employer safety programs when using reciprocating saws near energized systems or pressurized lines. Inspect the blade clamp and blade condition before each use.
