The MILWAUKEE 49-94-0523 is a Type 27 depressed-center grinding wheel designed for general-purpose grinding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. Built with bonded aluminum oxide abrasive at a coarse 30 grit, this wheel handles stock removal and light grinding efficiently. It measures 6 inches in diameter, 1/4 inch thick, and fits a 7/8-inch unthreaded arbor hole. Rated to 10,200 RPM, it suits standard angle grinder use across a range of shop and field applications. Aluminum oxide is a hard, sharp abrasive that holds up under heat and high rotational speeds, making it a reliable choice for moderate grinding volume work.
This wheel is intended for use with angle grinders in fabrication, maintenance, and general metalworking settings. It performs well on carbon steel and stainless steel and is also suited to other ferrous metals and alloy steels. The Type 27 profile provides a depressed center, giving clearance for flush and flat grinding on workpieces. It is a cost-effective option for smaller jobs and lower grinding volumes where a general-purpose wheel meets the performance requirement without the added cost of specialty abrasives.
Designed for use with angle grinders. Compatible with carbon steel, stainless steel, other ferrous metals, and alloy steels. Fits angle grinder spindles with a 7/8-inch unthreaded arbor.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician following the angle grinder manufacturer's mounting instructions and all applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheel use. Always power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before mounting or removing a grinding wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before each use and never exceed the rated maximum operating speed of 10,200 RPM. Use appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves during installation and operation.
