The MILWAUKEE 49-80-0308 is a slit nozzle attachment designed for use with select Milwaukee heat guns when intensified, focused airflow is required. The narrow slit profile concentrates heat output along a tight line, making it the correct tool for lap welding PVC canvasses and sheets. This nozzle must be paired with the MILWAUKEE 49-80-0305 air reduction nozzle to function properly — it cannot be used alone. Installation and use are performed by tradespeople and fabricators working with PVC membrane systems, awnings, tarps, and similar flexible sheet materials.
This attachment is suited to applications where a standard wide-area nozzle would deliver too broad a heat pattern. Lap welding PVC requires a controlled, linear heat zone to achieve a clean, consistent bond along the seam. The 49-80-0308 fills that role when mounted to a compatible Milwaukee heat gun and used alongside the required 49-80-0305 air reduction nozzle. It is sold as a single nozzle only and does not include additional accessories.
Designed for use with Milwaukee heat guns 8978-20, 8986-20, and 8988-20. Requires MILWAUKEE 49-80-0305 air reduction nozzle — this slit nozzle will not function correctly without it.
Allow the heat gun to cool completely before attaching or removing nozzle accessories. Ensure the 49-80-0305 air reduction nozzle is properly seated before attaching this slit nozzle. Direct the slit opening along the PVC seam line and maintain consistent gun speed to avoid overheating or burning the material. Follow the heat gun manufacturer guidelines for nozzle attachment torque and operating temperature limits.
