The MILWAUKEE 49-59-4069 is a tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) annular cutter designed for cutting clean, fast holes in hard metal materials. It features an advanced tooth geometry that cuts, cleans, and clears chips simultaneously during the drilling cycle, reducing heat buildup and extending cutter life. The thin-wall design displaces less material than a standard twist drill for the same hole diameter, producing burr-free results in demanding materials including stainless steel and cast iron. The cutter ships with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank, making it compatible with most small and large magnetic drill presses when paired with the appropriate arbor.
This cutter is intended for trade and industrial use in metal fabrication, structural steel work, pipe fitting, and maintenance applications where clean through-holes are required in hard ferrous materials. It is suited for both shop and on-site magnetic drill press work. The 11/16 inch cutting diameter covers a common hole size in metalworking and HVAC equipment mounting applications. When an ejector pin is needed, Milwaukee specifies pin model 49-59-0013 for use with this cutter.
Designed for use with most small magnetic drill presses and large magnetic drill presses equipped with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank arbor. Use with ejector pin 49-59-0013 when pin ejection is required.
Installation is performed by metalworkers and general tradespeople using a magnetic drill press with a properly rated arbor. Ensure the workpiece is clean, flat, and that the magnetic drill base has a secure hold before beginning the cut. Apply cutting fluid appropriate for the base metal to maximize cutter life and cut quality, particularly when working in stainless steel or cast iron. Inspect the Weldon shank set-screw engagement before each use to confirm the cutter is seated and locked in the arbor.
