The MILWAUKEE 49-59-3069 is a tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) annular cutter designed for drilling clean, fast holes in hard metal materials. It features an advanced tooth geometry that cuts, cleans, and clears chips during the drilling cycle, reducing heat buildup and extending cutter life. The 11/16 inch diameter and 2.92 inch cutting length make it well suited for through-holes in thick stock. A thin-wall design displaces less material than standard twist drills or competing annular cutters, producing burr-free holes without secondary deburring. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank provides secure, positive drive engagement in compatible magnetic drill press arbors.
This cutter is intended for licensed tradespeople and experienced metalworkers performing hole drilling in hard metals including stainless steel and cast iron. It is appropriate for structural steel fabrication, mechanical contracting, pipefitting, and industrial maintenance applications where a magnetic drill press is the preferred tool platform. The cutter is used one hole at a time and is compatible with both small and large magnetic drill presses when the correct arbor is used. For installations requiring a pilot pin, use pilot pin 49-59-0015.
Fits magnetic drill presses with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank arbor. For large magnetic drill press platforms, the appropriate arbor adapter is required. Compatible pilot pin is 49-59-0015.
Installation and use of annular cutters should be performed by qualified metalworkers or tradespeople familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Ensure the magnetic drill base is fully engaged and secured to the workpiece before beginning the cut. Cutting fluid or lubricant is recommended when drilling hard metals such as stainless steel to extend cutter life and reduce heat. Inspect the Weldon shank and arbor set screw for secure engagement before each use.
