The MILWAUKEE 49-59-2200 is a high speed steel (HSS) annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in mild steel and sheet metal applications. The cutter features an advanced tooth geometry that cuts, cleans, and clears material simultaneously during drilling, reducing cycle time and producing burr-free holes. Its thin-wall construction displaces less material compared to standard hole saws, which means less heat buildup and longer tool life. At 2 inches in diameter and approximately 3.386 inches in length, this cutter is sized for a wide range of structural and fabrication drilling tasks. It is installed and used by ironworkers, fabricators, and millwrights working with magnetic drill presses.
The 49-59-2200 is built for mild steel applications, from thin sheet metal up to thick plate steel. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank is compatible with most small magnetic drill presses and with larger magnetic drill presses when used with the appropriate arbor. It is a common choice on jobsites, fabrication shops, and structural steel erection projects where clean, accurately sized holes are required without secondary deburring steps.
Fits most magnetic drill presses accepting a 3/4 inch Weldon shank. Use with larger magnetic drill presses requires a compatible arbor. For use with pilot pin 49-59-0012.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Secure the magnetic drill press firmly to the workpiece before drilling and confirm the base magnet is fully energized before beginning a cut. Power down and disconnect the drill press before changing or inspecting cutters. Always use cutting fluid in mild steel applications to extend cutter life and maintain hole quality.
