The MILWAUKEE 49-59-2194 is a high speed steel (HSS) annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in mild steel and sheet metal applications. Built with a thin-wall construction and advanced tooth geometry, the cutter cuts, cleans, and clears material simultaneously during the drilling stroke. This reduces the force required to complete each hole and extends tool life compared to standard twist-drill methods. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank makes it compatible with most small magnetic drill presses and larger magnetic drill presses when paired with the appropriate arbor. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and general fabricators rely on this cutter for production hole-making in structural and sheet steel work.
The 49-59-2194 is sized at 1-15/16 inch cutting diameter and is intended for use in mild steel and sheet metal installations. Typical applications include field fabrication, structural steel prep, electrical enclosure work, and mechanical equipment mounting where precise, burr-free holes are required without secondary deburring operations. The thin-wall design displaces less material than a comparable twist drill for the same finished hole size, reducing heat buildup and chip load. This cutter is sold individually and uses a pilot pin sold separately under part number 49-59-0012.
Designed for use with magnetic drill presses equipped with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank arbor. Large magnetic drill presses require the correct arbor adapter for proper fitment.
Installation of annular cutters is typically performed by licensed trades or experienced fabricators using a magnetic drill press secured firmly to the workpiece before starting the cut. Always disengage and de-energize the drill before mounting or removing the cutter. Use cutting fluid appropriate for steel to extend cutter life and manage heat. Follow applicable OSHA and worksite safety requirements when operating magnetic drill equipment.
