The MILWAUKEE 49-59-2125 is a high speed steel (HSS) annular cutter engineered for fast, clean hole cutting in mild steel and sheet metal applications. It features a thin-wall construction paired with an advanced tooth geometry that cuts and clears material simultaneously during drilling, reducing heat buildup and extending tool life. The cutter measures approximately 3.386 inches in length with a 1-1/4 inch cutting diameter and ships with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank, making it compatible with most small magnetic drill presses and larger magnetic drill press setups when used with the appropriate arbor.
This cutter is suited for metal fabrication, structural steel work, and sheet metal applications where burr-free holes are required. The thin-wall design displaces less material per hole compared to traditional twist drill methods, resulting in faster cycle times and reduced operator fatigue. It is typically installed and operated by ironworkers, pipefitters, electricians, and general metal fabricators working in both shop and field environments. The 49-59-2125 is sold individually and accepts a pilot pin for accurate hole placement.
Designed for use with magnetic drill presses accepting a 3/4 inch Weldon shank. Use with pilot pin 49-59-0012 for accurate hole positioning. Larger magnetic drill presses require the correct arbor adapter.
This cutter is installed and operated by qualified tradespeople using a magnetic drill press or compatible arbor setup. Before mounting or changing the cutter, disengage the drill press from power and verify the Weldon shank is properly secured in the chuck. Always use cutting fluid or lubricant appropriate for ferrous metals to extend cutter life and manage heat. Inspect the cutter and pilot pin for wear before each use.
