The MILWAUKEE 49-59-2119 is a high speed steel (HSS) annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in sheet metal and mild steel plate. It features a thin-wall construction paired with an advanced tooth geometry that cuts and clears chips simultaneously, reducing heat buildup and extending cutter life. The 1-3/16 inch cutting diameter and 3.386 inch cutting length make it suited for through-holes in a range of material thicknesses. The cutter ships with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank, compatible with most small and large magnetic drill presses. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, fabricators, and maintenance mechanics rely on this cutter for burr-free results without secondary deburring steps.
This annular cutter is built for mild steel applications including structural fabrication, electrical enclosure work, HVAC ductwork, and general sheet metal jobs. Its thin-wall design displaces less material than a standard twist drill of the same finished hole size, which translates directly to faster cycle times and reduced tool wear. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank fits most magnetic drill press chucks and larger press arbors, making it a practical shop and field tool for trades that regularly cut holes in ferrous plate or sheet stock.
Designed for use with magnetic drill presses equipped with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank chuck. Larger magnetic drill presses require the correct arbor adapter. Use with pilot pin 49-59-0012. Intended for mild steel sheet metal and plate applications.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Secure the magnetic drill press base firmly to the workpiece before starting the cut, and verify the pilot pin is properly seated before engaging the cutter. Always wear appropriate eye and hand protection when cutting. Disconnect power and allow the cutter to come to a full stop before changing cutters or inspecting the tool.
